FAQ

Q. Are you available for travel?

A. Absolutely. I am able to travel anywhere in the world! My setup is completely mobile and I bring all the hair and makeup necessities right on site to wherever you choose to get ready. Many of my weddings are in the CT, NY, MA, RI, and NJ area. However, I have also serviced destination weddings several times; and welcome them! Travel is calculated at $1.25 cents per mile from Fairfield, CT

Q. Do you have a team?

A. I have a small, close knit network of like minded professionals who specialize in hair and makeup. We are all well versed in the bridal-beauty space. I can bring on as much assistance as I need.

Q. How many assistants will you need to bring? Is there an additional cost per assistant?

A. The way I calculate the amount of help I need is based on the service headcount. Per every 5 to 6 services, I will bring on an additional assistant. Each assistant is an additional charge of $175. If you don’t know your exact headcount when booking- I suggest we base the initial numbers off of a ballpark figure. Once we have the exact headcount, I can alter the assistants and cost as needed.

Q. What are your prices?

A. The easiest way to view pricing is here on my website alizanoelle.com/pricing

Q. When do you need a final headcount by?

A. I require a finalized headcount by 6 weeks prior to the wedding date.

Q. How do I reserve and book my wedding with your company?

A. The booking process is very simple and straightforward. I will email you a contract. It will prompt you to electronically initial and sign. You will also receive an itemized invoice. To reserve your date, there is a 20% retainer due at signing. The final balance is due 1 week before the wedding.

Q. Do you do airbrush makeup? What about makeup for people who have sensitive skin and allergies?

A. I do offer airbrush. Your trial is a great time to discuss if airbrushing is the right option for you. People with sensitivity’s and allergies are urged to let me know before the day of the wedding. We can work together to make sure products will be used of which will keep you irritation and allergy free.

Q. Do you offer touchups on the day of the wedding?

A. I will provide you with lip color to touch up with. Additional touch up essentials (like powder, blotting sheets, bobby pins, hair spray) are complimentary to brides. I am also available to stay on location for touch ups at an hourly rate.

Q. What time are we going to need to start hair and makeup on the day of my wedding?

A. That mainly depends on what time you’d like everyone to be finished with their hair and makeup. My policy of bringing assistance on per every 5 to 6 services ensures that we will be able to work in a very efficient manner. Each service takes an average of 45 mins.

(Ex: A bridal party of 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and the bride all needing hair and makeup done. That’s 10 people requiring 2 services each. I’ll take those 20 services, divide them by 5. Now we know your wedding will require me to bring on 3 assistants. With 4 of us doing hair and makeup, and each doing 5 services; we will need approximately 4 1/2 hours total to get you all ready.)

I will then create a schedule with time slots under myself and each of my assistants. All you need to do is put the names in of who you’d like to go - at what times. This assures a super smooth and orderly getting ready process.

Q. When do we do a trial and where?

A. I recommend trials are done within 4 months of the big day. This is a “sweet spot” in my experience. Brides have a great grasp of their overall vision for their “look”. Trials are done in Fairfield, CT at my salon space.

Q. Who will be doing my hair and makeup on my wedding day?

A. Me! I do all of the brides hair and makeup. Always. I only book one wedding per day. Being at the wedding personally, is very important to me. I really like to make sure that my brides are getting the utmost attention and care.

Q. Who is Aliza? Why do you do this job, and how long have you been doing it?

A. I am in my mid thirties and have been doing makeup since I graduated high school. It’s been my passion. I literally cannot do anything else because this is truly my obsession. I worked in cosmetic retail for 10 years. Once I had my daughter, I decided to start my own business. That was almost 8 years ago! The wedding industry has proven to be my real passion. After solely doing makeup for a couple years- I decided to dive head first into hair styling.  I was constantly being asked about hair and had always had a natural interest in it. Thus began my hair journey. I started with updos. Practicing like crazy! When Covid hit a few years ago, I decided to refocus my very rocky, pandemic ridden journey of entrepreneurship to cosmetology school. A year later, I am licensed in Connecticut to do hair in any and all capacities. Cut, color, styling. I have to say that the updos and styling really have stolen my heart. Anything that benefits my bridal - beauty company really takes a precedence.
